About the Swazi Craft Market

Imbiza Craft
Imbizo Craft founded in 1997 and situated at Mantenga and Ezulwini in Swaziland produces a variety of local Swazi handicraft and curios which are sold at our two stalls. Imbiza Crafts employs four Artisans who create the carvings, basket weaving and curios at the shop premises. Tourists are invited to watch as they make there wares. We decided to do this after many queries from tourists who had found an interest in the development of the products.

A typical small wood carving takes an artisan six hours to complete the shape, which will then have to be sanded and painted, this usally takes a day to complete. Imbiza Crafts produces Stone and Wooden carvings of African wildlife and traditional African carvings. Grass mats, bowls and other products are also made here in the traditional Swazi style. Jewellery and other items are for sale as well and these are sourced throughout Swaziland.
